Blackcurrant’s boldness and acidity contrasts the sweetness of the local honey. The oak from American bourbon casks reused for whisky, comes to the fore at the finish.

While the sweetness and flavour make for an excellent after dinner wine, it can be enjoyed with other bold flavours like rich stews and meats. It has also been used as a topping for ice-cream.
